Bedside Table Redo

My oldest son has been asking me for a couple months for a bedside table.  There were a couple that I really wanted from Pottery Barn, but they were somewhere around $500 each.  Then I thought I would just make him one.
However, a couple weeks ago my husband was helping someone move and they had a small TV stand that they didn't have room for anymore so he brought it home.  Problem solved!  Of course I had to change it a little, but that is the fun part.
This is what it looked like this morning:
I removed the doors, sanded and painted it a dark navy, added a shelf and put some beadboard on the back of it.
Voila!
I might still change the handle.  It just depends on how it looks in the room.  First we have to rearrange the room a little, which may take awhile since he is 13.
I will add in a picture once the room is done.  The amount I actually spent on it was only $9 for the paint (which I still have tons left of), everything else I already had leftover from other projects.
