Heat Press Projects

Heat press vinyl is so much fun and every project fosters creativity.  Here are a couple more little projects I have done.

It's a shame I don't have a cute baby that can wear these.  Luckily I have lots of friends with babies and sometimes that is more fun anyways.  I have also been making a lot of sweatshirts for our swim team, but those aren't as fun to show.  I also made about 25 shirts for my friend whose son just got back off his mission.  They all wore them to get him at the airport, so cute!

Halloween Designs

My new heat press is so fun and since I have such a cute little niece, I can make really cute things for her to wear.  It isn't as fun to dress teenage boys. :)
I really love Halloween so I was excited to make a couple little Halloween designs.

Family Name Frame

I have made these for a few of my friends and family for Christmas or Thank You gifts but I have never made one for myself.  We are making them as a craft at our church's Fabulous Friday event so here is my example frame.

 When I was at Joann's this week all their quarter cuts were on sale so I picked up a couple for random things.  They actually look really cute behind the glass and the best part is that I can change it up.  So if I want a Christmas theme I can add in material that goes with Christmas.

 Or I can completely remove the material and just have the wall show through.

Personalized baby gift

I just got a heat press and so now my brain is completely overwhelmed with ideas.  I have a couple friends that have recently had babies, so I thought I would make them something personalized for their babies.  Here is one of them....

It will probably only fit for about a month, but after that they can always frame them.

Poison Bottles

Halloween is my favorite time of year to decorate for.  This past week I was at Michael's and I found these cute Halloween colored bottles for a dollar each.  Perfect for a little vinyl.

Maybe it's the colors that make me so happy!

Christmas Plates

I found these wonderful, shiny chargers a couple weeks ago and wanted to a little more of a reminder of what Christmas really is with them.  I added a little vinyl, all lyrics from songs about the birth of Christ. I love how bright they are.

The end of 31 days: Getting work in order!

I have had a really crazy last three weeks.  I have mentioned before that I teach college online, however I have also been a high school science teacher since 2006.  Last year I taught Anatomy but I started it out as a long term sub and then got a temporary contract.  At the end of the year the principal told me he wanted me to stay with a permanent contract, but they would have to do what the district wanted to do.  Two days before school ended I found out that a teacher from another school in the district wanted the position at my school and since she had higher seniority she got the position and I was put back into the sub pool.  So this year I have been subbing for various schools in the district.  In the middle of October I was called to sub for someone during their maternity leave.  With that, teaching four online classes and trying to raise my two sons the best I can, I am having a hard time finding time for anything else.  I miss my blog and I miss my sleep.  I will try my best to keep up with things, but the good news is that the semester ends in December and then the other teacher will be back.  Sorry I did not get through all the 31 days, but I guess those days can all be gathered into a Getting Work In Order day. 

Now if I can just find a way to get some sleep at night perhaps I won't fall asleep at the computer.
